A note on certification
Certification by Freedom Techniques cannot be purchased. The fees on this page cover Naomi's time, expertise, and administration only. Certification itself is granted at no charge to practitioners who have demonstrated the safety and competency standards set out in the Freedom Techniques Mentoring Agreement. Meeting those standards is entirely in your hands — and Naomi's job is to help you get there.

LEVEL 1: EBEFT Certified Accredited Clinical EFT Practitioner
Workshop requirements
Most people start the process of certification by taking the first workshop. Some choose to first experience EFT as a client with a pre-approved practitioner or registered student practitioner. Either way, the workshops must be taken in the following order:
Mentoring must start within one year of completing the Trauma Training, and the full certification process must be completed within two years of starting mentoring.

Your mentoring with Freedom Techniques consists of 10 individual one-hour sessions all conducted on Zoom with Naomi Janzen. Here is how the journey is structured:
Group mentoring
(6 x 1 hour sessions, group of 8 or fewer) may begin any time after 1-1 Mentoring Session 5 is complete.
Required reading
All mentees are given a copy of The Evidence Based EFT Manual, co-authored by Naomi Janzen and Dr Peta Stapleton. Reading this manual is a requirement of the program and forms the foundation for your first mentoring session.
Agreements to sign
Insurance
All student practitioners must carry current insurance that names EFT as a covered modality.
Final Certification Assessment
A 30-minute video session review followed by a 1 hour verbal examination of techniques and concepts. This is conducted closed book.

Workshops
Mentoring
There are two payment options for mentoring. Pay as you go and purchased as a package. All prices quoted in Australian dollars and include GST.
Certification fee (on successful completion of all requirements)
Tax invoices are provided to Australian residents for all Freedom Techniques fees.
At the point of certification, once Naomi is satisfied you have met the required standard, she submits your recommendation to EBEFT. You then complete the EBEFT Ethics Exam and pay your initial listing fee directly to EBEFT. Upon passing the exam, you are listed on the EBEFT website as an EBEFT Certified Accredited Clinical EFT Practitioner and may display the accreditation logo and title.
Total estimated costs of certification:

- Evidence Based EFT 3-Day Practitioner workshop (21 class hours, in person or live online)
- Evidence Based EFT 2-Day Trauma workshop (14 class hours, in person or live online) Attendees must practice after the first workshop for at least 3 months before taking this workshop.
- Clarity Tapping 1-Day workshop (7 class hours, live online) Can be taken any time after the first workshop.
Mentoring must start within one year of completing the Trauma Training, and the full certification process must be completed within two years of starting mentoring.

- 3 sessions as a client working with an approved certified accredited practitioner
- 5 sessions as a practice client working with a fellow student
- 5 hours of self tapping, minimum 30 minutes per session
Practice client sessions
- 50 practice client sessions with written session notes (47 submitted for review; 3 recorded on video to be reviewed via screen share)
- with 30 different clients; maximum of 3 sessions per client can be counted towards the total of 50
Mentoring structure
Your mentoring with Freedom Techniques consists of 10 individual one-hour sessions all conducted on Zoom with Naomi Janzen. Here is how the journey is structured:
- Session 1 — Techniques and Concepts Review. Your first session is a face-to-face closed-book review and reteaching of the core Clinical EFT techniques and concepts from the manual. This ensures you are working from a solid and accurate foundation before you begin seeing practice clients.
- Session 2 — Notes Mentoring to review your written session notes from your first 12 practice client sessions with Naomi.
- Session 3 — First Video Session to review a single session in full.
- Sessions 4 to 6 — Notes Mentoring continues your review of written session notes from practice client sessions 14 through 31.
- Session 7 — Second Video Session to review a single session in full.
- Sessions 8 to 10 — Notes Mentoring continues through sessions 33 to 49
Group mentoring
(6 x 1 hour sessions, group of 8 or fewer) may begin any time after 1-1 Mentoring Session 5 is complete.

- Group Mentoring - $500 for 6 one hour sessions
- Final Assessment for Certification $330 for the 1.5 hour session
- Full mentoring package
- 10 mentoring sessions + 1 final Certification Assessment + 6 group mentoring sessions for $2830 (saving $200)

- $220 to Freedom Techniques — covers administration, your certification certificate, and formal recommendation to EBEFT
- $99 to EBEFT — Ethics Exam fee, paid directly to EBEFT
- $110 to EBEFT — Initial accreditation and two-year listing fee, paid directly to EBEFT

LEVEL 2: EBEFT Certified Accredited Advanced Clinical EFT Practitioner
Level 2 is available to practitioners who have already achieved Level 1 certification through Freedom Techniques. It follows the same mentoring structure with Naomi, using your more advanced client work as the basis for review.
Practitioners may take the below workshops at any time but may not begin mentoring for advanced certification until 6 months after completion of the first level of certification. For any workshop to be counted towards advanced certification, it must have been taken within 12 months of commencing mentoring. If more than 12 months has passed, mentee must retake the workshop as a reviewer (50% off).
Workshop prerequisites
Practitioners may take the below workshops at any time but may not begin mentoring for advanced certification until 6 months after completion of the first level of certification. For any workshop to be counted towards advanced certification, it must have been taken within 12 months of commencing mentoring. You then pay your updated listing fee directly to EBEFT to be listed on the EBEFT website as an EBEFT Certified Accredited Advanced Clinical EFT Practitioner and may display the advanced accreditation logo and title.
Total estimated costs of certification:

- 50 practice client sessions with written session notes (47 submitted for review; 3 recorded on video to be reviewed via screen share)
- with 20 different clients; five multi-session clients of 5 sessions each, maximum of 3 sessions per client for the remaining 25 sessions can be counted.

- Session 1 — Techniques and Concepts Review. Your first session is a face-to-face closed-book review and reteaching of the advanced techniques and concepts.
- Session 2 — Notes Mentoring to review written session notes from your first 12 practice client sessions with Naomi.
- Session 3 — First Video Session to review a single session in full.
- Session 4 — Notes Mentoring to review written session notes from your next 12 practice client sessions with Naomi.
- Session 5 — Second Video Session to review a single session in full.
- Session 6 — Notes Mentoring to review written session notes from your last 12 practice client sessions with Naomi.

Renewal
EBEFT accreditation and Freedom Techniques certification follow a universal end of year renewal date with both payments automated. CPD reporting is due every two years to Freedom Techniques.
CPD requirement
12 hours of continuing professional development every two years, reported to Freedom Techniques by 15 December in the year it is due. Freedom Techniques verifies compliance and notifies EBEFT that the requirement has been met. This process is automated — you will receive a reminder and CPD reporting link from Freedom Techniques 6 weeks before it is due.
Renewal fees (automated, paid via subscription to each)
Renewal fees and CPD requirements are the same for both Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner level.
EBEFT accreditation and Freedom Techniques certification follow a universal end of year renewal date with both payments automated. CPD reporting is due every two years to Freedom Techniques.
CPD requirement
12 hours of continuing professional development every two years, reported to Freedom Techniques by 15 December in the year it is due. Freedom Techniques verifies compliance and notifies EBEFT that the requirement has been met. - $80 to Freedom Techniques to maintain certification, biennial check of CPD/ issuance of updated certificate.
