A note on certification
Certification by Freedom Techniques cannot be purchased. The fees on this page cover Naomi's time, expertise, and administration only. Certification itself is granted at no charge to practitioners who have demonstrated the safety and competency standards set out in the Freedom Techniques Mentoring Agreement. Meeting those standards is entirely in your hands — and Naomi's job is to help you get there.

LEVEL 1: EBEFT Certified Accredited Clinical EFT Practitioner |
Workshop prerequisites
Before mentoring can begin, you must have completed both of the following:
Required reading
All mentees are given a copy of The Evidence Based EFT Manual, co-authored by Naomi Janzen and Dr Peta Stapleton. Reading this manual is a requirement of the program and forms the foundation for your first mentoring session.
Mentoring structure
Your mentoring with Freedom Techniques consists of 10 individual one-hour sessions and 6 group mentoring sessions, all conducted on Zoom with Naomi Janzen. Here is how the journey is structured:
Session 1 — Techniques and Concepts Review. Your first session is a face-to-face closed-book review and reteaching of the core Clinical EFT techniques and concepts from the manual. This ensures you are working from a solid and accurate foundation before you begin seeing practice clients.
Sessions 2 to 5 — Notes Mentoring Block 1. You review your written session notes from your first 12 practice client sessions (6 per session) with Naomi.
Sessions 6 to 10 — Group mentoring (6 sessions, group of 8 or fewer) may begin any time after Session 5 is complete. Notes Mentoring Block 2 continues your review of written session notes from practice client sessions 13 to 24. A video session review is also completed during this block.
Session 7 — Video Review 1. At approximately the 12-session mark, Naomi reviews a recorded client session to assess your technique and provide feedback.
Sessions 8 to 10 — Notes Mentoring continues through to session 24, followed by a second video review at approximately the 35-session mark.
Session 10 — Certification Assessment. Your final session is your certification test: a 30-minute video session review followed by a 1.5-hour verbal examination of techniques and concepts. This is conducted closed book.
Additional workshop requirement
The 1-Day Clarity Tapping™ workshop is required as part of the Level 1 certification pathway and may be completed at any point during your mentoring journey.
Practice client sessions and self-work
Investment — Level 1
Individual mentoring Option A: Pay as you go — $220 AU per session (incl GST) Option B: Full mentoring package — 10 sessions for $2,100 AU (incl GST), saving $100
Group mentoring 6 sessions with Naomi in a group of 8 or fewer — $500 AU (incl GST) Group mentoring cannot begin until after your 5th individual mentoring session.
Certification fee (payable at end of journey) $220 AU to Freedom Techniques (incl GST) — covers administration, your certification certificate, and formal recommendation to EBEFT $99 AU to EBEFT — Ethics Exam fee, paid directly to EBEFT $220 AU to EBEFT — Initial accreditation and two-year listing fee, paid directly to EBEFT
Tax invoices are provided to Australian residents for all Freedom Techniques fees.
At the point of certification, once Naomi is satisfied you have met the required standard, she submits your recommendation to EBEFT. You then complete the EBEFT Ethics Exam and pay your initial listing fee directly to EBEFT. Upon passing the exam, you are listed on the EBEFT website as an EBEFT Certified Accredited Clinical EFT Practitioner and may display the accreditation logo and title.
Before mentoring can begin, you must have completed both of the following:
- Evidence Based EFT 3-Day Practitioner Training (21 class hours, in person or live online)
- Evidence Based EFT 2-Day Trauma Training (14 class hours, in person or live online)

- 50 practice client sessions with written session notes (48 submitted for review)
- 3 hours of EFT sessions received from an approved accredited practitioner
- 5 hours of EFT swap sessions with a fellow student practitioner
- 5 hours of self-tapping, logged on the Freedom Techniques self-work form
- Proof of practitioner insurance
- Signing of the Freedom Techniques Code of Conduct and Mentoring Agreement

LEVEL 2: EBEFT Certified Accredited Advanced Clinical EFT Practitioner |
Level 2 is available to practitioners who have already achieved Level 1 certification. It follows the same mentoring structure with Naomi, using your more advanced client work as the basis for review.

- EBEFT Advanced Practitioner 1 Day Workshop 2: Anger, Grief, and Shame (7 class hours)
- 21 class hours of additional approved specialty workshops
- Clarity Tapping™ 1-Day workshop (if not already completed at Level 1)

Renewal
EBEFT accreditation and Freedom Techniques certification operate on a biennial renewal cycle, with a universal renewal date of 1 February.
CPD requirement
12 hours of continuing professional development every two years, reported to Freedom Techniques by 15 December in the renewal year. Freedom Techniques verifies compliance and notifies EBEFT that the renewal requirement has been met. This process is automated — you will receive a reminder from Freedom Techniques on 1 November.
Renewal fees (both payments are automated and fall due in the same renewal cycle)
Renewal fees and CPD requirements are the same for both Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner level.
EBEFT accreditation and Freedom Techniques certification operate on a biennial renewal cycle, with a universal renewal date of 1 February.
