PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND CONCERNS Freedom Techniques | Naomi Janzen
My commitment to standards
Freedom Techniques exists to certify Clinical EFT practitioners who are genuinely ready to work safely, competently, and ethically with clients. Certification is not automatic and cannot be purchased. It is conferred only when I am satisfied that a practitioner has demonstrated the required standard of knowledge, safe practice, and professional conduct.
All Freedom Techniques certified practitioners are assessed against the competency standard described in The Evidence Based EFT Manual, co-authored by myself and Dr Peta Stapleton. Certification requires demonstrated understanding of Clinical EFT techniques and concepts, directly observed safe and respectful practice with clients, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Practitioners must renew their certification every two years to maintain their listing.
If you have a concern about a certified practitioner
If you have experienced something concerning in your work with a Freedom Techniques certified practitioner, you are encouraged to raise it directly with the practitioner in the first instance. Many concerns can be resolved through direct communication.
If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact me directly. All concerns are taken seriously. Where a concern relates to a practitioner's conduct, safety practices, or professional standards, I have a documented process for reviewing the matter and can suspend or revoke certification where warranted. In any case where the facts are unclear, I err on the side of protecting the client.
To raise a concern, please contact me in writing at naomi[at]ozfreedomtechniques.com, setting out the nature of your concern clearly and specifically. You will receive an acknowledgement within five business days and a substantive response within 30 business days.
Please note that Freedom Techniques is not a complaints resolution body and does not adjudicate disputes between practitioners and their clients. Where a concern involves potential legal, regulatory, or criminal matters, you should seek independent advice and contact the relevant authorities.
If you have a concern about Freedom Techniques or me personally
Freedom Techniques operates under documented written agreements with all mentees and certified practitioners. The standards applied throughout the mentoring and certification process are set out in writing and provided to every mentee before they begin. I hold the following credentials: Master Trainer (EFT International), Level 3 Trainer (EFT Universe), Advanced Trainer (Evidence Based EFT), and EBEFT Endorsed Certification Provider and Senior Certifier. I have maintained an active Clinical EFT practice throughout my career and am co-author of The Evidence Based EFT Manual.
If you have a concern about the conduct of Freedom Techniques or about me personally, you are welcome to raise it in writing at naomi[at]ozfreedomtechniques.com. Written concerns will be acknowledged within five business days and responded to within 30 business days.
Where a concern relates to my conduct as a trainer or certifier within EFT International or EFT Universe frameworks, those bodies have their own complaint processes which you may access directly.
About EBEFT accreditation
Freedom Techniques certified practitioners are recommended to Evidence Based EFT for accreditation. EBEFT independently decides whether to grant accreditation and maintains the public practitioner directory. If you have a concern about a practitioner's EBEFT listing or about EBEFT's accreditation process, please contact EBEFT directly at evidencebasedeft.com.
