10:16:23 From helenepulnik@hotmail.com : How do you know which Gentle Technique to start with? 10:22:09 From Stephanie Wiand : When is the floor to ceiling eye roll used? I know it said in the manual that it’s used when the SUD goes very low. We talk about getting a SUD to a 2 and then it generally being OK to move on. 10:30:41 From Jess Johnson : Helene, I think it depends on what you’re working on 10:31:41 From Jess Johnson : if someone cant talk about the experience, I’ll start with tearless trauma. if they then decide they can talk about it, Ill go to tell the story. if intensity has gone down, but they still cant talk about it, I’ll go to movie technique 10:35:58 From Jess Johnson : I have that cheat sheet hanging up just behind my computer :) 10:36:09 From helenepulnik@hotmail.com : Where can I find that cheat sheet? 10:36:20 From Jess Johnson : I made it :) 10:39:00 From Jess Johnson : Hugo- how have you been using EFT since you’ve been certified? Do you do it full time? 10:39:12 From Stephanie Wiand : Thank you, Hugo! 10:47:20 From Barbara Porter : Tears are usually cathartic 10:47:31 From Stephanie Wiand : YES!! 10:49:52 From Jess Johnson : I’ve been almost freaked out lately by an absence of a deep seed of anxiety that i had come to think was normal 10:50:48 From Hugo Menard : https://www.highperformancegroundwork.com/ 10:53:10 From Jess Johnson : feel free to refer to me if you’re comfortable :) 10:53:26 From Jess Johnson : also, my email is jessjohnsoncoaching@gmail.com if anyone wants to revisit the small groups 10:54:59 From Jess Johnson : so funny! I just met an Oiler! 10:55:50 From Jess Johnson : I just joined this: https://www.bni.com/ 10:56:22 From Jess Johnson : it’s a business referral network and I am super excited to get more connected with them. There are chapters all over the world and it helps people network 11:06:04 From Barbara Porter : Could mention scientific evidence for Clinical EFT 11:08:15 From Jess Johnson : And yes- you have to be a clinician in order to be certified in EMDR. In my personal experience (for anyone here who doesn’t know me- I’m a therapist ), EMDR is hard for people to get through. EFT works great to help with the emotions that come up with EMDR... but then you might as well just do EFT to address whatever youre going through EMDR for :) 11:09:41 From Jess Johnson : I like evidence based anyway because people think therapy when they hear clinical eft 11:10:00 From Rachel Coleman : Where’d you get it 11:10:11 From Rachel Coleman : Yes please 11:13:55 From Jess Johnson : as a therapist in the Army, EMDR was one of the most recommended modalities for us to use with patients. I did not get trainings in it, but I trained in cognitive processing therapy and prolonged exposure therapy- all hard for patients to get there (as well as sometimes difficult for the therapist to get through). Almost everyone I have personally spoken to about EMDR is how difficult it is. I have two friends who were anxious to go back to their sessions, so I helped them with EFT to help reduce their stress around going back for their next session 11:16:15 From Barbara Porter : Flower essences help process supposed emotions 11:16:32 From Barbara Porter : Suppressed 11:18:23 From Jess Johnson : The “parts” work Naomi has done with me has truly changed my life! 11:25:26 From Barbara Porter : Because emotions cloud judgment 11:27:26 From Stephanie Wiand : That’s amazing, Barbara!! 11:27:43 From Jess Johnson : is that different from essential oils? 11:30:44 From Stephanie Wiand : Thanks everyone!! 11:30:52 From Belinda Readman : Thanks everyone! 11:30:56 From Kimberly Watson : Thank you! 11:31:00 From Elizabeth Thuan : Thanks Naomi - good session
