About Naomi Janzen and Freedom Techniques
Naomi Janzen is a Clinical EFT practitioner, trainer, and certifier with over a decade of experience in the field. She is co-author of The Evidence Based EFT Manual and holds/has held credentials as Master Trainer (EFT International), Level 3 Expert Trainer (EFT Universe), Advanced Trainer (Evidence Based EFT), and EBEFT Endorsed Certification Provider and Senior Certifier.
Naomi is not a licensed health professional, therapist, or psychologist. All services provided by Freedom Techniques, including private sessions, workshops, training programs, and mentoring, are educational in nature and do not constitute psychotherapy or a psychological service. Nothing provided by Freedom Techniques is a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You are responsible for your own wellbeing during and after any work with Naomi, and you are advised to consult your current healthcare providers before making any changes to medications or other treatments.
Clients with a history of epilepsy or psychotic episodes should only use EFT under the direct supervision of a doctor or therapist.
Private Sessions
All private sessions are held in the strictest confidence and with the utmost respect. Naomi may disclose private information without your consent only in the following circumstances required by law:
To protect you or others from serious harm, for example if you were to discuss plans to attempt suicide or harm another person.
To report ongoing domestic violence, abuse or neglect of children, the elderly, or people with disabilities. Disclosure of past abuse as a child does not typically trigger this obligation unless other children are currently at risk.
To comply with a court order, for example if your mental health were to come into question during legal proceedings.
Naomi may not give medical advice or diagnose medical conditions. You may contact Naomi for follow-up via email after sessions if needed.
Payment is requested on the day of the session unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Cancellation and Missed Appointments
The following applies to both private sessions and mentoring sessions.
Standalone sessions: Full payment is required for missed sessions and for sessions not cancelled more than 24 hours in advance.
Package sessions: Once a session time has been agreed, cancellations or changes must be made more than 24 hours prior or the session is forfeited. If Naomi needs to reschedule for any reason, you may add that session to the end of your package if you are unable to have it within the week it was originally scheduled.
Both parties agree to respect the agreed session times. If you are late for a session, the session time will not be extended by the amount of time you are late. If Naomi is late, the session time will be extended accordingly, or the extra time will be added to a future session by prior arrangement.
Technical Issues
Sessions are conducted primarily via Zoom. Where technical difficulties require it, sessions may be conducted by telephone, FaceTime, or another suitable platform by mutual agreement.
You will not forfeit a session due to technical issues beyond your control, such as internet failure. However, after three instances of session delay or cancellation due to your internet connection, Naomi reserves the right to conduct sessions by telephone or mobile data at your expense in place of video sessions, until your technical issues are resolved.

Mentoring and Certification
All mentoring and certification relationships are governed by a written Mentoring Agreement and, upon successful certification, a Certification Agreement. These documents set out the full terms of the mentoring and certification relationship, including what mentoring involves, what certification requires, and what rights and obligations both parties have. Copies are provided to all mentees before the relationship begins.
Certification is not guaranteed by enrolment in a mentoring program or by payment of any fee. It is conferred solely at Naomi's professional discretion upon completion of the mentoring process.
