Naomi Janzen, operating as Freedom Techniques, is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What information I collect
I collect personal information only where it is necessary to provide my services or communicate with you. Depending on how you interact with Freedom Techniques, this may include:

Payment and billing information, collected and processed via PayPal. I do not store your full payment card details.
Your professional background, EFT training history, and practice details, collected from mentees and certification candidates for the purpose of assessing and guiding their development.
Certification data for certified practitioners, including certification status, certification and renewal dates, CPD records, insurance confirmation, and any suspension or revocation matters. This information is held for the duration of your certification and for a reasonable period after it lapses or is revoked.
Email address and communication preferences, collected when you subscribe to my mailing list, purchase a product, or register for a workshop or training program.
Website usage data collected automatically when you visit my websites, including browser type, operating system, and pages visited. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
I do not collect health information such as medical history, injury history, or clinical records. If you choose to share personal health information during a private session or mentoring conversation, that information is treated as strictly confidential and is not stored in any database or system.

I share your information only where necessary to deliver my services, including with the following third party platforms. Several of these platforms are based in Indonesia or the United States and are subject to the laws of those countries rather than Australian law. By using Freedom Techniques services, you consent to your information being processed by these platforms in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Birdsend (email marketing, Indonesia-based): used to manage my mailing list and send newsletters and course communications.
MailChimp (email marketing, USA-based): currently used for Remindfulness app subscriber communications. Being phased out.
Zaxaa (subscription management, Indonesia-based): used to manage certification subscription products. Payments are processed through PayPal.
PayPal (payment processing, USA-based): used to process all payments including session fees, workshop fees, and certification subscription payments.
Zoom (video conferencing, USA-based): used to conduct private sessions, mentoring sessions, and online workshops.
vCita (scheduling and client management, USA-based with operations in Israel): used to manage bookings and client communications.
Google Workspace, Google Drive, and Google Forms (productivity and data collection, USA-based): used to manage documents, collect signed agreements, and store mentoring tracker records.
Weebly (website hosting, USA-based): used to host ebeft-review.weebly.com.
I may also disclose your information where required by law, including in response to a court order, subpoena, or request from a law enforcement agency.
Where a concern about a certified practitioner requires notification to Evidence Based EFT, I will share relevant certification status information with EBEFT in accordance with the terms of the Certification Agreement you signed.
How I protect your information
I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. These steps include password protection, encrypted storage where available, and limiting access to personal information to what is necessary for each task.
No data transmission over the internet is completely secure. While I take all reasonable precautions, I cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or from my websites or platforms.
How long I keep your information
I keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide my services and meet my legal obligations. For certified practitioners, I retain certification records, CPD records, and renewal history for a minimum of seven years following the end of the certification relationship to meet my record-keeping obligations.
For mailing list subscribers, I retain your information until you unsubscribe or request removal.
For clients and workshop attendees, I retain booking and payment records for seven years in accordance with Australian tax law.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

Request correction of any information that is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete.
Withdraw consent to receive marketing communications at any time by unsubscribing or contacting me directly.
Request that I delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligations I have to retain it.
